A brief overview of my story and what motivated me to start Black Girl Cancer Club
At the age of 31, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
My friends and family were my support system, a true blessing. They were my backbone when I felt like giving up. My prayer warriors when my faith tapered. The people who cheered me on for every fight I fought. The people who couldn’t cry because I was crying. The ones who made sure I got to every appointment!
I did not do it alone! I could not do it alone!
I call them my gang!
My gang helped me survive! They supplied me with motivation, morals, empathy, community, courage, prayer, strength, encouragement, love and compassion.
You name it they had my back.
And this is why Black Girl Cancer Club was created
